Photography Workshops
Small-group, location-based photography workshops across the GCC.
I run hands-on photography workshops in select locations across the Gulf and around the world — deserts, mountains, coasts, cities — designed for working photographers who want to develop their craft. Small groups, real shooting, real feedback.
What I deliver
- 2–5 day workshops at iconic GCC locations
- Small groups (6–12 participants)
- Daily shooting + critique sessions
- Post-processing workflow guidance

Frequently asked questions
What level should I be at?
Intermediate to advanced. Beginners welcome on selected workshops — check the listing for each.
What gear do I need?
Any modern mirrorless or DSLR with a couple of lenses. Specific recommendations sent with the pre-workshop brief.
Are workshops in English or Arabic?
Both — most workshops accept bilingual participants. Sole-Arabic and sole-English workshops available too.
Where do you run photography workshops?
Workshops can be held anywhere in the world, with recommended locations including the Liwa desert (UAE), AlUla (Saudi Arabia), Wadi Rum (Jordan), the Empty Quarter, the Hatta mountains, and the souks of Dubai and Doha. Each workshop is matched to its theme — landscape work in the dunes, documentary work in the souks, architecture in older quarters of Sharjah and Muscat.
Are workshops available in Arabic?
Yes. Some workshops are Arabic-only, some are English-only, and most are bilingual with both languages running in parallel. Each workshop listing specifies the language clearly. Arabic-language slots tend to fill faster because there are fewer Arabic photography workshops in the GCC, so registering early is wise.
How early should I book a workshop?
4–8 weeks ahead for popular GCC locations like AlUla, Liwa, and Wadi Rum. Last-minute spots occasionally open up due to cancellations, so it is worth checking the listing or joining the announcement mailing list. International workshops outside the GCC usually open 3–4 months ahead and require travel coordination.
